What IS an Automatic Ovulator? It is a sonic rocket of distortion fusing a ‘60s bubblegum vibe

with a snarling vocal delivery reminiscent

of classic bands like The Clash 

and The New York Dolls.

 

With comical lines like "She may be just a major appliance/but my baby sure knows how to dance", this is clearly a self-aware song that's toying with taboo tropes of male and female relationships.
